In recent years, the Konkan coast of Maharashtra has gained immense popularity. It is because the beaches in this region are relatively less crowded. They are cleaner and more serene. Tourists are amazed by the natural beauty of the turquoise Arabian Sea by its side and lush green trees on the other side.

There are many beaches in Konkan. Here is a list of some Must Visit Beaches in Kokan.

Best Time to Visit Konkan Beaches

Since it is a coastal region, you can go there in the winter season. Typically, between October to March, the season is extremely good. You can spend a lot of time outdoors. The climate is ideal for beach activities and family fun. The weather during this period is cool and dry. Temperatures range between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.

The summer months are quite uncomfortable because the weather is hot and humid. However, if you want to go between April to June, then you should go to the beach in the morning or evening. Avoid spending time outdoors during the daytime.

Monsoon season is also not appropriate for kokan tour because the Konkan region experiences heavy rainfall between June to September. Constant rainfall will restrict outdoor activities. Also, it is at times risky to go to the beach. Furthermore, the travel is also challenging.

Ganpatipule Beach

Ganpatipule beach is very popular because of two things. One is the divine Ganesh Temple, and another is the pristine, clean beach of soft, white sand.

Other than beach activities, sports enthusiasts can also find it interesting. A wide range of water sports is available there.

After spending one or two days in Ganpatipule Beach, you can go to see nearby attractions. Two popular places are Jaigad Fort and Malgund Beach.

Due to its cleanliness and peaceful environment, Ganpatipule beach is ideal for relaxing and spending time with family.

The beach is safe, and the sea is ideal for water sports. You can find water sports on the beach like scuba diving. Also, it is ideal for watching dolphins. The best season to go to Tarkarli Beach is between October and March.

Alibaug Beach

Alibaug  is perhaps the most famous and well-known beach in the Konkan region. This place is famous for beaches, good-quality accommodation, and beautiful scenery. Since Alibag is very conveniently located from both Mumbai and Pune both, it is a popular weekend getaway from these places.

Alibaug also offers a list of water sports such as, parasailing, banana boat and jet ski and speed boating also.

Spending two to three days in Alibaug will be quite interesting.

Murud Beach is a great spot for relaxation as well as adventure. Tourists can find various opportunities to enjoy. Popular water sports are jet skiing and boat rides.

Murud Beach is situated in the Raigad district, of Maharashtra. The scenic beauty pulls thousands of tourists during the peak season. They spend incredibly enjoyable time with their near and dear ones.

They relax on this clean, less commercialized beach that brings positive vibes.

Devbag Beach

Devbagh Beach is also a scenic beach in Maharashtra. It is very special because it is the meeting point or confluence of the Karli River and the Arabian Sea. The place is called Devbaug Sangam.
